Anyone who knows me knows I'm a car fanatic. Old cars, new cars, specialty and exotics, one-offs...you name it and I'm probably into it. So when Harbor Nissan's Relentless Pursuit Motors division recently showed me some of their current
projects, I got pretty excited! They've got a couple of cars they've been customizing and building that will soon be headed to the major national auto auctions, many of which are televised. I'll keep you posted on that weh I know more.
One of their most exciting projects is an early 2000's Nissan 240 SX car that's being turned into an awesome street drifter. In case you don't know what that is, I dug up this little clip of drifting cars overseas. Notice that the 240 SX is a particular favorite of the fans of this type of car/racing...
The Harbor Nissan version of the ultimate Drift Machine is still under construction. Just like those car building and auction shows on TV, these guys are under time constraints and pressure too. This project has to be finished and ready to send to the upcoming Mecum auction in about a week! Here are some pictures I took to show the progress, and some of the specialized equipment and parts they're installing in this one of a kind car.
Looks rather normal, right? That's the point! It's going to be a "sleeper"
aka a wolf in sheep's clothing!
Here's the newest toy to be added: the turbocharger intercooler.
The only problem is the intercooler return comes back to the engine
compartment right where the battery used to be. But that's an
easy fix. Just relocate the battery to the rear of the car!
Major exhaust upgrade here with a slick, cat-back system!
And of course a high performance muffler for freer breathing!
Check out this front suspension. But wait - it's actually the REAR suspension!
I've never seen anything that complicated except up front before!!
Bookmark this page and come back again. I'll have upodates, more pics and video soon!!
