I am sure that you heard last evening's breaking headline regarding the very talented yet troubled country musician Mindy McCready, who unfortunately took her own life.

Suicide is a very touchy subject. It is incredibly selfish act - especially when committed by someone with small kids, yet also frequently the act of someone who's mental instability renders them unable to make proper decisions.

My heart goes out to her family, kids and fans...as they're the ones left to wonder, why? How? And, what now??

I had my own business/personal difficulties with Mindy that go way back to beginning of her career, and I admit a certain amount of bias. 

That said, the one thing I could never have challenged her on was her voice. She sang like the very same angels in her hit song "10,000 Angels." And that's the part of her we will all miss. The bottom line (to me): what an incredible waste of talent.
